Cupples 9
The Cupples 9 project is a redevelopment of an historic warehouse built in 1894 into a Class A office building. Located immediately west of Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, the 147,000 square foot building has been vacant for more than 20 years. The Koman Group will redevelop the 7 story property into a 100% commercial space, 132,000 RSF office space and 15,000 SF of ground floor retail/restaurant space. The building is on the Historic Register with the National Park Service and The Koman Group will insure the historic nature of building is fully preserved.
The Project is part of the overall Cupples Station warehouse district, a nine building neighborhood built between 1894 and 1917 immediately west of Busch Stadium, in downtown St. Louis. Formerly comprised of two dozen buildings, Cupples Station’s nine remaining structures are part of a national historic district. The Project will be the eighth Cupples Station building to be rehabilitated. Four of the buildings were redeveloped into a Westin Hotel, one was converted to rental apartments, and one into a commercial building occupied by Rodgers Townsend Advertising and Joe Buck’s restaurant. The Cupples 8 building is in the final conversion stages into 68 rental units and two floors of commercial space.
The Koman Group has moved forward with redevelopment that will be anchored by the national headquarters of Osborn & Barr, an agriculture-focused marketing and public relations firm. Osborn & Barr will occupy floors 2,3 & 4 and 45% of the building (66,000 SF).
