Tonya Mershon, Chief Financial Officer

Ms Mershon has been the CFO for The Koman Group since 2001. Her responsibilities include oversight of the accounting, financial and tax functions for the company. In addition, she has led due diligence for large scope refinancing and recapitalization transactions (i.e., transactions in excess of $100 million in value) and has experience in construction accounting and finance and development investment analysis.

Tonya is an accountant and an attorney. She worked as a staff accountant after obtaining a B.S. in Accounting. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia Law School in 1989, Tonya joined the CPA firm Ernst & Young, specializing in tax. She left E&Y as a manager and joined HBE Corporation, a local construction and hotel company that includes one of the country’s leading healthcare design-build firms.

Tonya’s other experience prior to joining The Koman Group includes financial reporting, tax management, and regulatory review of physician contracts and joint ventures at two major health care systems and serving as a senior manager at the CPA firm KPMG.
